Did you know...When parish councils were first created back in 1894 a provision was made for electors to meet once per year and for that meeting to be held between March and June. It was laid down in law that the meeting could not begin before 6pm to allow those who worked in the fields to attend.
The Parish Meeting for Elton is being held on Monday 8 April 2024, beginning at 7pm (to allow people to get back from work, just like back in 1894!!) It's your meeting, so please come along, because it is your voices who will flesh out the agenda.
