THE GRIT DELIVERY HAS ARRIVED!!
So, we have not had much interest in the community gritting trial yet, which is a bit of a shame. We know there's a bit of discomfort around doing stuff that we all feel we have already paid someone else to do, but looking on Cheshire West's website, their scheme is mainly about keeping the roads clear while what we'd like to do in Elton is make sure people feel safe getting out their front door and maybe making it to the shops or to school without slip sliding all over the place. So, if you think you would be interested in looking after a wee bit of your street and helping folks who maybe can't do all the things you are able to do, then there's a 25kg bag of rock salt with your name on it at the Community Centre. Either drop by and ask for it or, if you can't pick it up yourself, drop us an email and we'll get it round to you. It's for spreading around the paths near to your house for your benefit and the benefit of those who live close by. Let's do this – we are Elton and we care about our community.
