The parish council sent their accounting statement and governance list to the External Auditor back in June. The External Auditor carries out what is known as a limited assurance review – they look at the spending and income the parish council has undertaken in the previous financial year and check that everything seems in order. The report this year reflects the fact the the Asset Register wasn't complete as not all the information was available. There were some issues that the Internal Auditor raised too and the parish council has an ongoing action plan to address these, including making sure policy documents are in place.
