A little later than scheduled, the parish council have now submitted their accounts to the External Auditor and what is called the Public Right to View period has now begun. This is a 30 working day period when any elector in the parish can study the accounts produced, ask to see invoices and bank statements and test whether the accounts and procedures the parish council followed have been robust. Any elector can also raise any issues relating to accounting with the external auditor and the auditor will make a decision on whether to look into the query.Everything you need to know about the process and some basic accounting details can be found on the Parish Council tab under Financial Year 22 23.
