Elton Parish Council have secured a 10-year lease on the Sorbus Close Play Area from Cheshire West and Cheshire Council. This will allow us to put in some new play equipment and we are in the process of applying for grants to raise the money. As part of the grant process we need to show that there is a need for the project and that we have consulted with the community. The play area is designed specifically for toddler equipment.
So, please can you take some time to consider the design scheme for the project and let us have your comments.
You can post your comments on the Parish Council's Facebook page ( https://m.facebook.com/Eltonparishcouncil/ ),
on the Elton Village Chat page ( https://m.facebook.com/eltonvillagechat/ ) ,
send them by email to parishclerk@eltonparishcouncil.co.uk
or fill in the comment slip (you'll find it at the Community Centre) and hand it in at Elton Community Centre.
We appreciate your input and will let you know how we go with our application.
We need your comments by 28 April to meet the application deadline of 30.
The planned equipment and design:
The equipment
We really like the toddler multi-play equipment for the centre of the play area. The suppliers have assured us that they will be able to instal it in such a way that not much of the design that already exists on the ground surface will be obscured. The mapping shows how this would look.
We thought that taking out one of the springers and putting in a crawl tunnel would be a really good way to offer a bit more variety.
The attached document shows how these would look and where they would go – sorry the images wouldn't drop into this message
