The precept is a bit of money that is added to your council tax bill to pay for things like the upkeep of the play areas and the areas of land that the parish council own across the village, like the Jubilee Field, the parish field and the green space across from the Rigger. Every year around this time, the parish council has to put together a proposed budget to let Cheshire West and Chester (CWaC) know how much to add on to their council tax amount. The council will be discussing this at the meeting on Monday 9 December 2024 at 7pm in the Community Centre. You are most welcome to come along and speak during public participation. Your chance to let the parish council know if there are any areas or projects that should be considered for the new financial year that runs from April 2025 to March 2026. The document on the right is where the parish council thinks its budget is heading and will be the basis for discussion on the evening of the meeting.
