The lane that runs behind homes on Marsh Lane/Coppice Green has an application with Cheshire West and Chester Council to have it designated as a Public Right of Way. To have the application considered there must be evidence of the lane being used over a long period of time by people as a way of going from one place to another. There is a form which must be filled in to provide the evidence – there's no way round filling in the form because its part of the legal process. We need as many people in Elton as possible to provide evidence of use in order to have the lane designated. The advantage of the designation will be some (not lots!) of attention to maintaining the pathway by CWaC.
PLease can you take some time to fill in the form and also alert other people to it so that as much evidence as possible can be collected. Please return the form to parishclerk@eltonparishcouncil.co.uk. If you need the form printing out for you, pop into the Community Centre. Hard copies of the form can be left there also to be sent on to CWaC.
