October Meet

The parish council will be meeting on FRIDAY 9 OCTOBER at 7pm. No spookiness going on though – everything is on the agenda!
We would love to hear from you because its the time of year when we start thinking about our finances (who isn't thinking about those on a daily basis) and setting our budget for the next financial year that starts in March 2027. Before we set out the figures we always have a "hopes and dreams" meeting where councillors think through what they might like to deliver in that new financial year. We'd really like your input on that. Over the past couple of years we've been focussed on the play areas, eventually getting the Outdoor Gym and Sorbus Close instals completed. There's been a lot going on at the Jubilee Field as well and we'd love to hear what ideas you have for that area, how we can get more people to realise it is there, that it is a community resource and what it could be used for. We have also become the proud owners of the red telephone box for the pricely sum of £1 and we want to get ideas on what we could repurpopse that for. And I am sure there are other ideas out there that will enrich the community of Elton, so please come along to the meeting, or let us know by dropping us an email or talk to your local councillors or post something (nice, of course!) on our Facebook page.
